Trip Summary

Me and my husband went in a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. I was 5 months pregnant. We spend 18 days travelling by bus, motorbike and plane.

Best Bits

The motorbike trip from Hue to Hoi An was excellent

Worst Bits

Arriving to Siem Reap and finding out that the hotel we booked wasn’t what they said on the website, we had to spend the whole morning finding a new place to stay.

Trip Dates and Comments on Timing

June / July — Rainy season was starting but it wasn’t too bad.

Arrival Logistics

We had all accommodation booked, but transport was organized when we arrived. In Cambodia, we picked the more friendly looking tuk-tuk driver and they were our guides for the day. For other cities like we hired a motorbike and did the tours ourselves.

General Route

It would have been better if we didn’t booked all accommodation and flights in advance because there were some places that needed more time and other that we could have missed.

Main Activities

Cultural experiences, food, beaches, shopping, relaxing , live music, historical visits, bars, bike riding.

Food and Drink Highlights

Hoi An itself is a food destination. But the most amazing food we had was the Sticky Rice in Hanoi from Xoi Yen in 35B Nguyen Huu Huan.
