The history, culture and architecture.
I should have brought a warmer jacket.
June — The white nights festival was a really fun thing to experience.
Landed at St Petersburg airport and taxied to my hotel. It’s not very close to the city but everything went very smooth.
To just walk out the door and keep walking.

Trying the different local vodkas was fun. There is such a variety!
A warm jacket!
On one of my last business trips to Moscow I decided to take advantage of being in the country and traveling up to Saint Petersburg for a weekend. It was during the white nights festival which marks the summer solstice and the longest day of the year. Despite having to travel often to Moscow for business I didn’t much care for it. Saint Petersburg left me a better impression. The people are friendlier, the culture and the city are remarkable and it is easy to become immersed in the history and architecture. I spent most of my time just wandering the city on foot, visiting sights, exploring streets and eating at local places.

My favourite trip as of late New Zealand, solo travel in lots of nature for a soul-refresher.
Travelling Style Book the first night, then wing it from there!
It’s a dealbreaker when I’m stuck around large groups of package tourists.
